The next day, she came to his side. "Daddy, feel my heartbeat," she pleaded.

She chuckled, "It's iambic."
Eye for an EyeGod turned to the serpent and wondered if he should have taken Man's legs away instead.Eye for an Eye
"I should go after them," God proposed.
"No," replied the Serpent, "they are adults now and need teachers more than a fathers. I'll go instead."
"You will tell their children about me, won't you Wisdom?"
"I will warn them."
Mark of CainCain cried from the hilltop, "You prophecied that this would happen. Why would you punish me if I couldn't have done otherwise?"Mark of Cain
God responded, "Because I also can't do otherwise."
"Then what makes you a god?"
"The fact that you must answer to me."
Cain marched away.
"Cain?"
The tables turned. The mark was proof.
